the moon was bigger yesterday.

around 3.00 pm i felt peace and fell asleep on a couch we found on our way to the auditorium, surrounded by kind people, nepalese prayers written on tiny flags, coloured bikes, old tshirts used as pillowcases for couches covered in indian drawings, beautiful walls, beautiful friends. there was even a painting of frida kahlo. ad. wake me up leaving a kiss on my forehead before leaving us. around 3.30 i fell asleep on johnny’s shoulder, who was sitting beside me in the bus and who’d laugh with velia and put my head back on his shoulder every time it slid.

Closing your eyes isn’t going to change anything. Nothing’s going to disappear just because you can’t see what’s going on. In fact, things will even be worse the next time you open your eyes. That’s the kind of world we live in. Keep your eyes wide open. Only a coward closes his eyes. Closing your eyes and plugging up your ears won’t make time stand still. by Haruki Murakami, Kafka on the Shore  (via mocasia)
